J.M. Cope was the contractor for several packages of the ground-up construction of the City of Rock Hill’s new operations center. The scope of J.M. Cope’s work included furnishing and erecting steel buildings and metal panels, as well as painting and installing doors and hardware.
The new facility includes seven building on a 45-acre site, creating a 274-city employee campus. The new campus is home base for crews for storm water, sewer and water; electric, street division and traffic signals; and sanitation and recycling collection. Facilities also include space for the city’s Purchasing and Warehousing; Fleet Services and Garbage; and Parks, Recreation and Tourism Departments.
