New Rock Hill Headquarters Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Our December Headquarters Open House and Ribbon Cutting was a hit!
We thank the York County Chamber of Commerce for performing our ribbon cutting ceremony and for bringing together many members of our community to help us celebrate this special event.

We also want to thank Rock Hill Bagels & Deli, Amelies, and Knowledge Perk for assisting us with our catering needs!
Thanks again to all who attended and helped us officially open our new J.M. Cope headquarters!

Keeping to our Roots of Building Community
Our new headquarters is housed in the historic former Rock Hill American Legion building, which served veterans and members of the community for over 65 years. Originally constructed in 1949, the building was the home of the Rock Hill American Legion post at its highest membership count of 1,500 members in the wake of WWI and WWII. In addition to monthly Legion meetings, the building hosted dances, weddings, and even wrestling matches in its main hall. The post also hosted the York County Fair in the adjoining lot from the early 1950s until the mid-2000s and was known for sporting events such as baseball matches in the 1950s.
We are proud to carry on the legacy of this historic building, and we look forward to the future of J.M. Cope in our new building.
