J.M. Cope Helps Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation “Back the Pack”

J.M. Cope has deep roots in the region. It’s only natural, then, we strive to support organizations that help our community thrive, such as the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation. The foundation, founded nearly 30 years ago, “promotes a collaborative alliance between the community and Rock Hill School District Three to provide funding and other resources to support educational initiatives.”

The Foundation’s Back the Pack program is just one of their many highly successful initiatives. In collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Metrolina, United Way, and business and community investors, the foundation provides hungry Rock Hill elementary and middle school students with bags of food — discreetly placed in students’ book bags on Fridays — to consume over the weekend, allowing them to return to school on Monday, nourished and ready to learn.

In February, the J.M. Cope team helped “Back the Pack”, filling 2,300 bags for the 600 students in the Rock Hill school system that are recipients of the program.  We were thrilled to help feed the future!

We were also thrilled to attend the Foundation’s Gratitude Gala.  The gala, held February 28th at Southern Charm Events, serves as the Foundation’s thank you to all those that support their mission.  It also provides the Foundation the opportunity to share how their supporters’ donations are put to use, from grants for students’ emotional well-being to grants that assist students with special needs.

We look forward to continuing our support of the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation in the future.
